Congratulations to Richard Cross, first year Apprentice for winning the SETA Fitting Section prize!
Each year SETA (Stockport Engineering Training Association) awards an annual prize to the best performing apprentice in each of the technical areas of apprenticeship training. Fitting Section is fiercely competitive as it sees many apprentices from various companies.
Apprentices make and complete a wide range of hand made pieces using tools and engineering drawings over several weeks.
Richard Cross was awarded for his work quality, attention to detail, diligence and personal application.
Richard joined Armcon, Europe’s leading volumetric mixer specialists based in Poynton, Cheshire in September 2016 and started his apprentice training.
Richard’s dedication and results were quickly noticed and he was nominated for an annual SETA award.
Richard has also completed other units and his craft NVQ2 qualification at SETA as part of his block training and is now doing his BTEC technical certificate qualification on day release at SETA.
We are pleased that an Armcon engineering apprentice has joined apprentices from companies as diverse as Cemex, Federal Mogul, Jacobs and Carbogen Amcis. Each year we expand our partnerships to offer the most diverse engineering apprenticeship training in the North West. If you are interested in starting engineering apprenticeship, we are now recruiting for the September intake.
